Rain

It really knows how to rain in Hawaii. Downpours the likes of which happen a few times a year in Colorado are near daily occurrences here. As I said earlier, the Hilo side of the island where we are staying has a 50% chance of rain at all times, and it seems pretty stochastic; that is, the weather 15 minutes from now is completely independent of the weather at this moment. There have been a few days that were almost all rainy (two days ago) and a few that are almost all sunny (yesterday), but most are a mix. And really, it's fine. A constant 78 degrees covers a multitude of sins; the rain is never cold, and never steamy, grows awesome trees, and usually is just a lot of fun.
