At our last church social, my friend Ben Sabey asked me what kind of rockclimbing equipment I had. After we established that he had a rope and a harness and I had shoes and webbing, we decided that we should go climbing together. This morning we climbed together for the first time, top-roping a few routes on the Middle Earth wall at Mission Trails Regional Park. It was good to get back on the rock. We got along well and the weather was perfect. On the car ride home, we decided that we should go once a week. Now we just need to convince our wives.
