What a morning! Our neighbors asked us to keep their cats in our apartment for today during an inspection (they are allowed to have the cats, but the inspectors don't want any animals there during the inspection). Joseph was positively beside himself with excitement. He immediately ran and got his stuffed kitty to play with them, and was surprisingly gentle. And very polite! He kept asking them, "Please! Please!" in the sweet way he does when asking them to come into the living room to play with him, or to get into his doll stroller to push around. He read this cat his version of Green Eggs and Ham. Of course this all only lasted until the poor harassed cats finally found hiding places relatively inaccessible to him, and stayed there long enough for Joseph to lose interest.
