Is there a better way to spend a clear fall morning than on a little hike? I took the boys to San Clemente canyon this morning with a friend Ruth and her little boy, and we had a lovely time rambling along and enjoying the fall colors (mostly the red poison oak that so abundantly lines the trail, which we amazingly managed to avoid). It's no autumn Blue Ridge Parkway or Wasatch canyon, but it really does feel and look like fall in its own San Diegoish way.
