We spent Thanksgiving with part of the Thompson clan at Nephi's parents' home, who graciously welcomed us all. Benjamin was the star of the weekend and had nonstop attention from the Hayes cousins. I think he enjoyed it almost as much as Nephi and me.
Our other boys were very excited to see their cousins, as well as the Nintendo DSs they brought with them. It was good to have some screens to keep them entertained indoors, which was decidedly not a good space for restless boys and the wrestling and running around that goes along with it.
We got outside quite a bit since the weather was unseasonably beautiful. After the Thanksgiving meal we headed to a playground for a game of Ultimate Frisbee, and the next day we went for a hike in Dominguez Canyon.It was beautiful, and such a good idea that we actually ran into another family we knew also hiking.
Here are Nephi's parents and the four west-of-the-Mississippi siblings who were able to gather together. We missed Aaron and Deann and their families.
The other side was easier to climb up, so I hear.

It was a gorgeous place. We all felt thankful.
