Joseph turns 7!

 

Joseph turned seven a few weeks ago! To celebrate we invited a few of his friends to a party at the community center in the next town over that has a pool. Joseph loves swimming, water slides, and Star Wars about as much as he loves anything, and he had a great afternoon. Here's his cake, as designed by Joseph himself. Apparently there is a scene in one of the Star Wars movies where two jawas are hiding behind some rocks to ambush R2D2. This is the scene.

 

And this, of course, needs no explanation.

 

We love celebrating Joseph! He is a creative, intense, and tender boy with an impressive capacity for imagining up ways to (hypothetically) incorporate pyrotechnics and/or explosives into just about any situation. He loves people and projects that involve moving large things, like furniture or large amounts of snow. We love him and are so happy to have him in our family!!
