An autumn afternoon

Well, the leaves are starting to fall here in Ohio, and you can imagine the schemes Joseph is starting to dream up involving big piles of leaves:

This afternoon we raked them into a big pile for the kids to jump into off the swing, and they had a great time.

As I type the boys are out there with the neighborhood kids rustling around throwing leaves. It's the sort of fall day one wants to remember.

Living in San Diego, I worry I am cheating my kids out of two childhood essentials: playing in leaves and playing in snow. I'm glad your boys aren't deprived. Ruth
