Today we finally made it out to Joshua Tree. It's only 2 hours from Gina's parents' house, and we have been thinking about visiting the park ever since we moved to San Diego. The day was gorgeous, sunny and 65 degrees. Joseph liked climbing up all of the rocks, and Caleb was his usual good-natured self despite being in his backpack or his carseat most of the day. We took a short hike up Rattlesnake Canyon and enjoyed the deep blue sky, amazing granite formations, and of course, the prolific joshua trees. I'm excited to return for more hikes.
