The first day of school

And then it was the first day of school! It began with waffles with strawberries and whipped cream.

 

Joseph was off to fifth grade, which amazingly is in middle school here. I was nervous, he was not. It has been (spoiler alert!) a great year for him; more about each of the boys' school years in future posts.

 

Caleb was off to third grade.

 

And Isaac was off to first grade, his first year of full day school.

 

They were all pretty excited and ready.

 

I can't say I've ever been one of the weepy moms after sending the boys off on the first day of school. Nephi and I headed off for a little celebratory hike. Just walked out our front door with Ben on Nephi's back and ended up in this beautiful place a little while later. Oh, Colorado.
